Cigarette ends on ground-
A joyous sight for a hound
Indeed the taste of muddy dirt
To anyone did not deter.
Congregations of seeds at night,
Whose stems would never grow quite right,
Would gather and guzzle their firewater.
Some never broke ground from this slaughter.
No cost is too great for ecstasy
Given life's brutal grand larceny.
See, life is ruthless and unforgiving.
We must ensure our own happy living.
There were no big addictions.
I did not lack inhibition.
But how else would we get through
Without a little honest jolt or two?
No hedonist am I.
But one thing I will not hide,
That of all life's great pleasures,
I have flown through quite a measure.
Many things I could regret,
But my life was LIVED to large extent.
Many things I don't believe,
But much I've seen and still will see.
